BASKING IN JESUS

BASKING IN JESUS

Last week we visited with some close friends and enjoyed simply fellowshipping together. In our conversation we each shared how the Lord was impacting our hearts with His revelations. Cherished times that are very refreshing and uplifting to my soul.

All 4 of us are gray haired warriors who are believing for renewed strength, wisdom and long life to fulfill our latter days for the glory of God. My friend was sharing about being encouraged reading and meditating on Psalm 103. In this psalm we can find many beautiful aspects about the character of God. Here are just a few from the PTL Bible:

Psalm 103:3: You kissed my heart with forgiveness; despite all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out of every disease.

Psalm 103:4: You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life.

Psalm103 3:8: Your love is like a flooding river overflowing its banks with kindness.

And in Psalm 103:5: You satisfy my ever desire with good things. You’ve super charged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky!

What a promise! What an encouragement that God supercharges our lives! So, as we grow older, we can always count and rely on His strength to carry us through.

The word of God is filled with love letters from the heart of God to sustain us and carry us through every day and every situation. We can feast on it as our daily bread as the scripture says: "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (see Matthew 4:4).

So, my friends, I would encourage you to enjoy and feast on His word and open it up as a love letter written expressly for you!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for encouraging us with Your Truth. Show us ways we can apply Your Word by faith to encourage others and ourselves. You are a magnificent and loving Savior who never fails or forsakes us. Help us to lean on You and not our own understanding as we walk with You each day
